The fabric is too thin and the skirt just gets in between my legs when walking. I omitted the neckband, as I wanted to try out my new coverstitch machine. If nothing else, it will remind me to get better use out of some of the things I have made that I rarely wear, and remind me of the makes I have enjoyed so much that I want to make them again. But when MeMadeMay came around this year, I was surprised to realize that I should be able to wear something that I made just about every day this month, albeit with a lot of repeats. I used an old machine knitting yarn that I had left over from my university days and they came out beautifully.
I swapped the sleeves for the ones in the tunic, since I thought the 3-quarter lengths would suit this style more. Some people pledge to wear two outfits a week…. I love the cherry print rayon of these trousers. Having said all that, I like how it looks with my 101 trousers or loose jeans. My pledge was to try wear at least one memade item a day.
